Hi there

Firstly, if you don't want to raid, you can stop reading now.

Otherwise this is setting out how the raids are currently run in the guild and the basic rules we use.

We ask you have Deadly boss mods, Omen and vent installed any other mods are up to your preference, but you need to have and use those to make sure you know what's happening.

Selection of raiders

Everyone (inc the guild leader) gets dropped at times, status/friendships and ranks don't matter, but bare in mind we have to get the best mix to make the raid work. (e.g all melee won't work)

When you accept a raid event on the ingame calendar, there are 5 status's that are applied to you:

Invited - You haven't responded yet but are invited to go
Accepted - you said you can make it
Confirmed - Raid leader has added you to the raid
Standby - we'd like you to be around for the lengtht of the raid in case we need replacements
Out - You weren't picked for that raid.

Preparation:

Make sure you read up on all boss tactics, the raid event in the calendar will say what bosses are planned after the selections are made, but you are expected to know all the tactics for all bosses.

We are basing the raids on the videos at http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f206/ (go watch them, the videos are embedded in the forum posts), the raid leader will advise of any tweaks to the tactics., if you don't understand one, just ask before we engage don't wait until after we are fighting!

If you need a list of bosses, go to Wowwiki and look up Naxxramas, EoE, Ulduar etc.

Ensure you get any pots/food/enchants/Glyphs done prior to the raid we have crafters in guild that wont charge if you have the mats, doing it at the start of raids isn't a good time... and delays the raid.

raid days:

Raid invites start 15 mins before the raid time, if you aren't on with 10 mins to go, we will start looking to replace you unless someone has been informed, ideally you will be online with 30 mins to go even if on an alt or you will have already potted up and been ready to go.

Sometimes things happen in RL, so its nothing personal, just keeping the whole raid waiting isn't helpful and doesn't show much respect to others.

If you don't have vent installed and working then again, I'm afraid you will be replaced in future and we'd like you on vent in the raid channel 10 mins before we go, again so the raid can start at the scheduled time.

Don't worry, we won't make you talk, but you need to listen to any updates on the tactics (e.g a healer died so heal targets are swopped around).

And when the raid leaders are telling us all information, we pay attention and keep quiet

If you want to know how you did in the raid then go to the forums - Raids and instances section - which will give you a full breakdown by bosses (trash is grouped in one) on everything raid related.

You need to log to the forum with your in game name (gets you instant access) to view it one of the sites splits fights incorrectly, so generally we upload to 2 sites, overall data is still correct.

Keep damage meter spam out of raid chat so we don't miss important comments, or download your own addon, believe me the raid leaders are well aware of how the raid is doing and will /w people if needed Smile

Loot for 25 man Naxx and anything from Ulduar upwards is on a DKP system, as an initiate you cannot out bid a member for loot, but once you reach member level that restriction is off.

Finally

Raids depend on everyone, no-one is better than others, but raid leaders/assistants have to watch the whole fight (its their job)

So if you get a /w about something you are doing/not doing from a raid leader/assistant or a vent comment, don't take it personally, its their job to make the raid as successful as possible.

We aren't a blame guild, so please don't go "x ffs" type comments they don't help anyone; we may discuss what is going wrong but with a view to changing and improving the fight, not as a blame/ "it wasn't me" process.

If you have any questions/issues about this post, please contact any officer and thanks for reading!

Iddy
